Who stands behind the selection of actors who make us laugh, cry, empathize, or feel inspired? In 2020, I became curious about these people—those who remain behind the scenes but shape the face of Ukrainian cinema and theater. That’s how this project was born.
Casting Directors of Ukraine is a series of portraits and stories about professionals who discover new talent, shape the film industry, and create magic even before the cameras start rolling. It’s an attempt to look behind the scenes of their work, to understand what drives them, what inspires them, and what challenges they face.
